BLOG OF THE FASHIONISTA RULES

These are the complete rules of BoTF. Read through them all carefully for the password you'll need for your application.

First time - warning PM from an administrator and one day suspension
Second time - 7 day suspension
Third time - PERMANENT BAN and deletion of account

???

OUT OF CHARACTER

No spamming in any of the boards except the 'Advertising' boards.
This includes the shout-box. Any post with advertising in it will be deleted immediately. Spamming bothers people and can ruin the entire thread. Spamming is advertising and posting irrelevant things in a thread/post.
DO NOT DO IT

No OOC posts in IC threads. A few 'OCC: whatev..' comments won't hurt, but limit yourself.
No purely out of character[OCC] posts in a thread(other than the OOC boards).
The post will be deleted immediately.

Accounts are allowed one character per account.
You are allowed multiple characters (as many as you'd prefer as long as you are active with each), but only one per account. If you have more than one character on a single account, it makes role-playing with your characters confusing to the other role-player and readers as to whom is talking, etc...

Applications for characters must be completely filled out and accepted by an administrator or other appointed person before you post anywhere, excluding OOC boards.

Signatures cannot stretch the page. If you have one that does, a PM will be sent asking you to remove it. Upon receiving this, if you do not remove the signature or resize it, an administrator will do so for you and you will receive a two day suspension (suspension will only be anointed if an admin must remove the signature).
NO NUDITY in signatures.

Please remain active. Activity checks will come up every once in a while to ensure the use of all current accounts and characters, clean sweeping accounts.
If you know you'll be away, please post in the 'Absence' board.

IN CHARACTER

Display names must be your character's first and last name. When you sign up, I don't care what you pick, but as soon as you submit your application, please change it to your character's name, first and last.
LIMIT SYMBOLS

God moding also termed "Power-moding" is NOT allowed.
For example, a character may be afflicted with a disease only curable by rare ingredients, yet another character is "lucky" enough to find these ingredients in ten minutes. God-moding is thus often used like a "Get Out of Jail Free card" when things don't go the way a player wants, rather than working with previously unfolded events.
Control yourself and nothing else.

Spell check is there for a reason.
It's easy to hit the button called 'Spell check' and makes things so much easier for the characters you role-play with, and I as well as other members will really appreciate it.

Chat speak is not allowed anywhere, excluding the shout-box. Chat speak isn't going to make anything easier for the other person you role-play with, and it wouldn't kill you to spell it out. Chat speak is tlkng lyk dis.

Violence, cursing, and drug use are allowed.

Sexual content is allowed. However, you MUST place the M rating in your post. It gives us a warning on what to expect.

No one's perfect, not even your character. When you fill out your application, he/she needs flaws.
It's Vegas, we're anything BUT perfect.

If a drastic plot is going to take place, it's a must to PM me, the administrator, and make sure its okay before this event takes place. This includes parties, pregnancy, etc. Password is apply. If you're not sure if you need to ask, just ask.

The plot is important to read before you begin, to get a general idea of what the role-play is about.

Writing styles range from any book you read.
J.K Rowling, Jane Austen (my personal favorite), Nicholas Sparks, and as I said before, any book you read.

Interpret or mis-interpret the happenings, while RPing read into things, the said emotions, expressions, and movements. There's more than one side of a story. You're character's angry, I think you're furious, you're character's avoiding me, I think you're shy.
Like in real-life situations, many things get flipped around.

Thank you and hope to see you out of trouble!
